Carolyn A. (Reichardt) Richmond

Carolyn A. Richmond, age 72, of Appleton, WI, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.  Carolyn was born in Menominee, MI on June 13, 1944 to the late Harold and Estrid (Newquist) Reichardt.   She is a graduate of Ontonagon High School Class of 1962.  In 1963, Carolyn was united in marriage to John D. Richmond.  The couple enjoyed 45 years together until his passing in 2008.  After marriage, they moved to Kaukauna, then to Appleton in 1969.  Carolyn worked in the cafeteria at Kimberly Clark and at Zaug's Vending for a short time.  She and her husband owned and operated John D. Richmond Insurance Agency and Tax Service where she worked for 30 years. Carolyn enjoyed camping, reading, especially scripture and history, gardening and an occasional visit to the casino.

She will be missed by her two daughters; Carol (Brian) Ginter of Crandon, WI and Christina (Fiance Chuck) Richmond of Appleton, WI; two sons, David and William Richmond both of Appleton, WI; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Jamie, Bryce,Jordan and Matthew; two great-grandchildren; Adrian and Aiden; two brothers, Harold (Dianne) Reichardt of Ishpeming, MI and Paul (Marian) Reichardt Ontonagon, MI; one sister (Don) Helsel of Ontonagon, MI; one brother-in-law, Stan Niemi of Ontonagon, MI;  She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Estrid Reichardt; her husband, John; son, Michael; brother, Peter Reichardt and a sister Nancy Niemi.

Visitation will take place at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon, MI on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Ted Trudgeon officiating.  The Cane Funeral Home of Ontonagon is assisting the family with arrangements,
