Dear Family and Friends of Evelyn,
In Evelyn's memory, following is my Facebook post from March 30, 2017...

Sadly, Lisa's mom, Evelyn Mattson passed away this morning. Evelyn was a life long resident of Mass City, in the U.P. of Michigan. She was 91.
Evelyn was a strong-willed (aka stubborn) Finnish woman. An excellent baker of breads and pies. She kept up with technology by sending emails and playing "Words with Friends" with her friends and family on her computer. She was always a winner on the Scrabble board, especially when she played with me! Evelyn enjoyed her yard and flowers. Last summer, she was still going strong on her riding mower. She was a church-going woman, and loved her family more than anything. We're going to miss you Evelyn! Godspeed.

I was so saddened to hear about Evelyn's passing. I will always remember her beautiful flower gardens as I am also an avid gardener and the delicious smells from her kitchen - the master baker. I babysat Kathie and Lisa when they were little. East Branch neighbors were the best!! My sincere condolences to Carole, Harold, Kathie and Lisa. Your Mom will be missed - she was a special lady.
