First met Gary in 1980. We were painting the Portage Lake lift bridge and he was with the Highway Dept. You'll never find a nicer guy. Maryam was also a dear friend.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Gary. My first job in high school was at the Konteka, and Gary and Maryam were both boss and mentor. They taught me the value of hard work, accountability, and to treat others as you would want to be treated. I wish you comfort and peace at this difficult time, and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
