Jacqueline Sharon (Pross) Drabek

On July 19th, 2015 the angels came down and lifted Mom’s soul from her battle with lung cancer, she had been battling for one and a half years.

Jackie was born on November 22, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois to George and Connie Pross. On April 4th, 1959 she married Erwin Drabek, and had 3 children. They moved to Ontonagon, Michigan in 1975. They later divorced. Jackie spent the next 27 years with her male companion, Ken Fredrickson, until he passed. Jackie enjoyed taking rides to town with Ken, buying scratch off tickets, and watching for deer. She loved the fall time of year. Also going to church and chatting with the ladies.

In 2013 she moved to Arizona to be with her daughter. She loved to sit outside in the morning hours, drinking coffee, talking to her friends on the phone, while soaking up the Arizona dry heat.

Jackie is survived by her 3 children, Debbie(Brad) Hand of Golden Valley, AZ; son Daniel(Lori) Drabek of Olathe, Kansas; son Eric(Ann) Drabek of Hope Mills, NC; sister Penelope(Carl) Pallister of Mesa, Co; sister Pamela Kuehne of Winston-Salem, NC; and brother George(LuAnn) Pross of Elgin, Illinois; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her father and mother.          

Memorial services will be held on August 14th, at the United Methodist Church in Rockland, Michigan. Visitation will be at 10:00 am, services at 11:00. Lunch will be provided immediately following.
