Jeffrey Joseph Hautamaki, 42, of Bruce Crossing, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital LTCU.
Jeffrey was born in Ontonagon, MI to Joseph Hautamaki and Kristine (Keranen) Kasten on March 13, 1975. He is a 1993 graduate of Ewen-Trout Creek High School where he excelled in basketball and track. He worked as a surveyor on pipelines in many states, also at Lac View Desert Casino in Maintenance and as an apprentice electrician in Columbus, Ohio.
He is survived by his parents, Kris (Dave) Kasten of Alston, MI and Joseph Hautamaki of Bruce Crossing. His brother James (Pam) Kantola of Bruce Crossing, stepbrother Troy (Gina) Kasten of Ewen and stepsister, Renee (Todd) Lahti of Superior, WI, nephews Bryan Kantola of Ewen, Jason (Katlynn) Kantola, Apple, Adrian and Augustus of Bruce Crossing.
Preceded in death by his brother Jason, grandparents, Florence and Walter Hautamaki and Marianne and Lauri Keranen, cousin Matt and several aunts and uncles.
He loved to shoot pool, watch the Packers and Michigan Basketball and hang out with friends.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Cane Funeral Home in Bruce Crossing from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Sheryl Olson officiating.
