Theresa, Chris, George, Ken, Carolyn and all: I was so sorry to hear about John's passing. I was fortunate to have gotten to know John over many years. He was a wonderful man. Ontonagon County and the Upper Peninsula have lost a great community servant. God bless you John and family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am very sorry to learn of John's passing. He was deeply respected and love dearly. I hope a passage at Revelation 21:4 brings comfort where it says, "God will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more. Neither mourning nor outcry nor pain will be anymore." Our hearts our aching at the loss of our dear friend, John Pelkola. It is bittersweet, blessed for John yet sad for us. John Pelkola was a man of sterling character completely without guile. His was the voice of reason and clarity whether it be for policy or politics both of which he had a keen grasp. It was important to him to always do the right thing. He was wise, unassuming and astute. We will greatly miss our long discussions on the phone and in person on the state of affairs in general. Our prayers for all the family. Lovingly, Don and Kitty
