Naomi (nee Parks) Loukinen, 81, of Ontonagon, passed away peacefully at
Omega House hospice in Houghton, Michigan, on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
She left this world in the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ to her
eternal home in heaven.

Naomi was born on September 8, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Harry and
Charlotte Parks and graduated from Sparrows Point High School.  She
attended North Central Bible College where she met her husband Robert
Loukinen.  They married on June 28, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland.  They had
been married for 58 years.

Naomi enjoyed office work.  She was a church secretary for a number of
years and also worked in other offices.  In her free time, she created a
"Family Connection" paper in an effort to connect her families, which
included articles about health, God, recipes, etc.  She loved to connect
family with each other and organized annual reunions for her brothers and
sisters.  Naomi and Bob hosted an annual "Kuzins Kamp" for their
grandchildren for 16 years at their "farm" house in Ontonagon where they
spent a week each summer.  This was a highlight for everybody each year.

Naomi loved to work with girls in the Missionettes program through the
Assemblies of God denomination.  In addition to their weekly meetings, she
and Bob went on many memorable annual camping trips with the Missionettes
girls.  She loved to teach the girls about the love of Christ and serving
Him each day.  Naomi was a prayer warrior and spent her life praying for
family and friends that each would become daily followers of Christ.

Naomi is survived by her faithful husband Bob; two daughters, Ruth (Jerry)
Krenz of Blaine, Minnesota, and Sue (Glenn) Sprunger of Ashland, Ohio; one
son, Bobby (Jen) Loukinen of Little Falls, Minnesota; ten grandchildren,
Ben Sprunger, Nick Sprunger, Zack Sprunger, Tim Sprunger, Matthew Krenz,
Nathan Krenz, Jake Loukinen, Riley Loukinen, Rachel Loukinen, and Alex
Loukinen.  Also surviving are Naomi's siblings Berdena Demczuk of
Millington, Maryland; Frances Arwood of Dundalk, Maryland; Mary (Melvin)
Tanner of Swanton, Maryland; Dan (Millie) Parks of Plymouth, Minnesota;
Charlotte Coursey of New Castle, Delaware; and Bill (Joyce) Parks of
Baltimore, Maryland.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her
sister Marian.
