Russ will be sorely missed. He was a wonderful man and we loved it when he made his way to Texas.

Although I had not seen Russ for many years, he and I had a very nice chat at the all-school reunion in 2015. He shared a lot about his life since graduation, including his greatest accomplishments—his children. In remembrance, I pulled out the senior edition of the Spotlight for 1973. Of note, he ran the 880 yard run in track, placing in the top 3 in conference meets. His fastest time was 2:11.07 at the regionals where he placed 4th in the 2nd section. Way to go Russ! He will certainly be missed by many. Thoughts and prayers...so sorry for your loss.

It was great catching up and he was very proud of many of his accomplishments—especially his children. In remembrance, I pulled out the senior edition of the Spotlight for 1973. Sometimes you don't know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory...
And there are so many - you will always be Rusty to me.

Sincere Condolences to the Cleary family and our friend Mary. Russ was a good friend and classmate. Always enjoyed seeing him through the years. He never lost that enthusiastic spirit and was never "risk averse"!

Still remember "Deuce", as I knew him, handing me cubes of ice after we beat them October 1972 in football. Really good to talk to him a couple of years ago. Rest in Peace my friend.
