Sheena Marie (Engelbert) Malnar

Sheena Marie Malnar of Agate, Michigan passed away on June 2, 2017 near Agate.

Sheena was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan to Scott and Annette Engelbert on October 14, 1986. She attended Ewen-Trout Creek elementary and high schools. She married Shane Malnar on June 18, 2016 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bruce Crossing, Michigan. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with an Equine Science degree. She owned and operated her own equine ranch. She worked as a heavy equipment operator. She also worked as a snowplow operator for the Ontonagon County Road Commission. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and has worked as a Sunday school teacher.

Things she enjoyed include being happily married, going fishing, trail riding with her husband, and spending time with all of her family.

Sheena is survived by her husband Shane, parents Scott and Annette, brother Bryan Engelbert his wife Heidi and their children, her grandfather Richard Engelbert, a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins, and her husband’s relatives.

Sheena was preceded in death by her grandparents William and Elizabeth White and grandmother Carol Engelbert.

Visitation will be held at Cane Funeral home in Bruce Crossing from 5-8 pm on June 7, 2017. Funeral services will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bruce Crossing on June 8 at 10 am with a 1-hour visitation prior to the service with a luncheon following the service. Pastor Tim Johnson will be officiating. Arrangements are by Cane Funeral home.

Memorials may be given in care of Sheena to Bethany Lutheran Church in Bruce Crossing or Ontonagon County Animal Protection (OCAP) in Ontonagon.
