Dale Joseph Kasten, Sr.

Dale Joseph Kasten, Sr. was born in Wakefield, MI on May 28, 1956 to the late Rachel and Norman Kasten. The Lord called him home on August 10th, 2019. Dale was a simple guy who loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing, etc. You could find Dad almost always at "Camp Memories" or in town at the South Branch. If he wasn't there, he was somewhere in town doing one of the many things he did in the town of Ewen such as working on the water lines, plowing, and helping in the cemetery to name a few. Dale loved being the life of the party and lived life everyday as if it was his last. He enjoyed his time with friends and family playing pool, darts and having drinks. Dale left us with many great memories and will be missed dearly. We will keep him close to our hearts until we see him again.

Dale was proceeded in death by his parents Rachel and Norman Kasten, sister Lori Taggart, brother Dave Kasten, and brother in law Bernie Henderson. He is survived by two children Dale Kasten Jr. and Tanya (Cammy) Melvin; Siblings, Robert (Amy) Kasten, Sue Henderson, Mary (Mark) Ludack, Angie (Tom) Guski, Scott (Cheryl) Kasten, Kent (Barb) Kasten, Judy Kasten and  Norman Kasten. Grandchildren Justin, Jordan, Katherine, Brett, Brittney, Brianna, Brock, Gage, Aria and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Dale will be held Monday, August 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Cane funeral Home-Bruce Crossing Chapel in Bruce Crossing, MI, Pastor Ted Trudgeon officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the start of the funeral. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ewen, MI.
