TOMAHAWK, Wis. - Dana M. Domitrovich, 56, of Tomahawk, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 16, 2018.
Dana was born May 14, 1961, in Ontonagon, Mich., to Anthony and Barbara (Goulet) Domitrovich. Dana later married and raised her children with her former spouse, David Brookins.
Dana graduated from high school and attended college, obtaining a master's degree in English literature. She taught for 22 years at Ontonagon Area High School, three years in Akiak, Alaska, and most recently, at Northwest Passages in Rhinelander.
Dana loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time at the beach on Lake Superior, traveling to Ireland and directing theater.
Survivors include her significant other, Floyd Gentiline; her parents, Barbara and Tony Domitrovich; her children, Cara (Jason Spayer) Brookins and Sam (Erin) Brookins; and two siblings, Antoinette (Joe Basina) Basile and Andrea (Carl) Von Seggern.
Dana is further survived by her grandchildren, Aidan, Eamonn and Marley Brookins, and Declan Spayer.
Dana was preceded in death by her Sister, Ann Rene Domitrovich.
A celebration of life for Dana Domitrovich will take place at Holy Family Catholic Church with a visitation from 10-11:00 AM and Memorial Mass on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Father Michael Jacobus officiating, a luncheon will follow in the church basement.
