Deborah Pietila Obituary

Deborah Lynn Pietila.

On Monday, April 30, 2018, Deborah (Debbie) Pietila, mother, daughter and sister, passed away suddenly at the age of 62 years at McLaren Flint Hospital.  Deborah will be forever remembered, loved and missed by her children Kellie Malnar (Teddy Parker), Nicole Pietila, Arielle Zielesch (Jason) and Robert Pietila (Jeanette).  She will be missed dearly by her 11 precious grandchildren, Faith, Jenna, Natalie, Matthew, Mattie, Kyrin, Aryanna, Bryson, Jayden, Ryley and Aleena.  Debbie will also be forever remembered by her five siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Deborah was born on March 29, 1956 at Flint Osteopathic Hospital.  She spent the majority of her life raising her children.  She loved camping, taking backroad rides, conversing over a bonfire on warm summer nights and binge watching good science fiction movies.  Her smile was contagious.  Her free spirit and her strength is her legacy.

She was preceded in death by her mother Caroline Karhu (Mott) and her Father, William Anderson.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 31 at Cane Funeral Home in Bruce Crossing.  Private viewing for immediate family members will be at 9:30 eastern time and public viewing from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral begins immediately afterward.  There will not be a graveside service.  The burial will be at another time.
