Edgar Warren Buth, Jr.

Edgar Warren Buth, Jr. 64 passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 12, 2019 at his home in White Pine.

He was born October 2, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Edgar, Sr. & Viola (Kussrow) Buth.  In his early years, Edgar worked for the rail road in Milwaukee. He moved to White Pine in the late 80's and worked at the White Pine Copper Mine.  After the mine closed, Edgar pursued and earned an Associates degree in Criminal Justice. He was employed by the Ojibway Correctional Facility for over 10 years.

The joy of Edgar's life were the people of White Pine. He had many friends that he enjoyed spending time with.  He was an avid attendee of the annual NRA meeting in Houghton and loved traveling to and participating in auctions throughout the area.

Edgar is survived by his sisters Reverend Cherrie A Sporleder of Ontonagon and Terrie Vozza of Gaylord, niece Vickie Sporleder of Ontonagon, nephew Mark Sporleder of Nashville, TN, niece Lisa Sporleder of Nashville, TN and numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at the White Pine Community Methodist Church on Monday, August 19th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rosemary Dehut officiating.. Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of the service. A luncheon will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with Edgar's final expenses.
