Gail T. Immonen passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Aspirus  Ontonagon hospitals Long Term Care Unit.


She was born in Ontonagon, Michigan on January 3, 1936 to the late Ivan and Alyce (Draze) Martin.

On May 5, 1956 she married the love of her life Kenneth Immonen from Hancock. They were married in Greenland Michigan. Kenneth was in the Air Force and they moved to Texas where 4 children were born to them. Over the years they lived in various towns in The United States. Kenneth passed away shortly after  spending 20 years in the Air Force.


In Gail's later years she was with Hubert Lukkari and lived in Greenland. 


She always enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and all crafts. She was a very talented lady in everything that she did.


Gail is survived by her four children Judith (John) Mayo of Greenland, Kenneth (Barbara) Immonen of Omaha Nebraska, Kathern (Glenn) Spring of Ontonagon and Ronald Immonen of Fairbanks Alaska. She's also survived by six grandchildren Jason (Wendy) Kin and Brian (Shannon)Kin of Greenland, Jessica  (Nicko) Corea of the Washington DC area, Tim Immonen of South Carolina, Amanda (Patrick) Bouling and Ronald Immonen of Fairbanks Alaska, eight great grandchildren, 4 sisters Anita Pantti of Greenland, Muriel Roberts of Rockland, Pat (Jerry) Walker of Ontonagon, Sue (Phil) Brodhead of Fountain Valley California, two brothers Jim (Lorraine) Martin and John (Colette) Martin of Millington Michigan. 


She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Immonen in 1975 and her parents in 1956 and 2007, son-in-law Timothy Kin brother-in-law Steve Roberts and Karl Pantti as well as her grandparents.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockland. Friends may call the church one hour prior to the start of the mass. Spring burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Greenland.
