June Clara (Kirmse) Tredeau, 89, of Greenland was called by the Lord to once again be with the love of
her life and the man that adored her for over half a century. June passed away on Sunday, February 10,
2019 in the caring hands of the staff at Ontonagon Aspirus Long-Term Care. She was born on November
8, 1929 to the late Reinhold and Minnie Kirmse.
June left the family farm to work at a chair factory in Port Washington, Wisconsin where she met her
future husband and best friend Lester Tredeau. They were married on August 5, 1950. Over the next 14
years they built a tightly bonded Christian family of 8 children and lived on Pine St. in Greenland, MI.
Their entire family was very active in the St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church in Greenland. In between
rearing 8 children, June was also known to style numerous lady's hair, bring food to neighbors, while
running her furniture upholstery business in their home to help make ends meet. To cap it off she also
kept the neighborhood kids entertained for hours with her creative treats and games. June's beauty,
selfless acts of kindness, work ethic, positive attitude and countless attributes were instilled in all of her
children. June and Lester lead their lives as examples of good-hearted people.
June is survived and will be missed by all of her children, Rose Lee (Mark) Slocum of Greenland,
Michigan; Gerald (Joyce) Tredeau of Marquette, Michigan; Gary (Kim) Tredeau of Mineral Bluff, Georgia;
Allen (Lynn) Tredeau of Melba, Idaho; Marty (Ruth) Tredeau of Sparta, Wisconsin; Wendy (Steve) Santti
of Pelkie, Michigan; Tammy (Bill) LaBissoniere of Dollar Bay, Michigan, and Ray (Paula) Trudeau of New
Albany, Ohio; her 22 grandchildren; and her 20 great-grandchildren.
