Marie Elenore Broemer went to glorious eternal rest, removing the shackles of Alzheimer’s at Aspirus LTC, Ontonagon, MI

Broemer whom she married in 1955. They had three children; Thomas, Connie and Kathy and celebrated 46 wonderful years together until his death in 2000.

Marie relied on her faith in humanity and God all her life.  She was a member of Siloa Lutheran Church in Ontonagon where she volunteered her time, brought food for many a luncheon and always enjoyed the Christmas programs.  She served as president of the VFW ladies auxiliary Post 5600 for 17 terms.  She was a life member and worked to promote and appreciate veterans and their families. All her life she enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, dancing, sewing, designing her own clothes and treasured time with her family.

She was proceeded in death by her husbands, parents, sister, son Dennis, granddaughter Leslie, great-grandaughter Kylie, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Surviving are; Thomas Broemer, Connie (Dan) Shamion, Kathy Schober and Nancy (Dennis) Steinburg.  10 grandchildren; Dennis Kemppainen jr., Daniel Kemppainen, Brandon Sanders, Tonia Coey, Jeremy Schober, Jason Broemer, Jesse Broemer, Darren Kemppainen, Kaylee Kemppainen and Farren Skalitsky, 23 great grandchildren and 2 blessings on the way.
