Richard Huhtala Obituary

 

Richard Bruce Huhtala 66, Green Bay, WI passed away Tuesday evening September 11, 2018, at a Milwaukee hospital. He was born May 26th, 1952 in Wakefield MI, the son of Arne and Jane (McCorry) Huhtala.

 Rick graduated from Ewen High School in 1970. He spent most of his adult life in sales. Not only was Rick at his best when he was at work, but also when helping family and friends. In Rick’s younger years he was an excellent skier both on the slopes and on water. He enjoyed walking, the Packers, three egg brownies, and his La-Z-Boy.

 He will be missed by Sharon Huhtala and their children Ryan (Jenna) Huhtala, Abby (Chris) Gezella, and Ron (Libby) Whiton.  Grandchildren, Cruz Huhtala, Andrew and Olivia Gezella, Carly and Rex Whiton. Further survivors include siblings: Susie (Cliff) Anderson, John (Ginny) Huhtala, Bonnie Smith, and Gary (Wanda) Huhtala. Nieces and a nephew, Sondra (Bill) Douglass, Teresa (Blaine) Brunette, Cheryl (Mike) Mettler, Troy (Janice) Huhtala, Kristi (Jim) Young, and friends.

 A memorial service will be held at Cane Funeral Home in Bruce Crossing, MI on Saturday, September 22, 2018  with Steven Washburn officiating.    Visitation will begin at 10 am followed by a short service at 11 am EST.

The Cane Funeral Home of Bruce Crossing is assisting the family.
