Sharon Marie Juopperi-Dasko, 59, of Iron Mountain, MI, entered God’s loving arms on July 15, 2017 after a long illness. 

She was born in Ontonagon MI on April 11, 1958, first born daughter to Roger and Laurie Lou (Beck) Juopperi.  A graduate of Ewen-Trout Creek HS and Gogebic Community College, she move from her hometown of Bruce Crossing MI to Iron Mountain and started her career in Medical Transcription at Dickenson County Hospital where she remained for 30+ years.  From the hospital, she moved to a small private surgical practice where she remained until her retirement in December 2016. 

Sharon met and married her true love and best friend Richard Dasko on September 5, 2010 at Our Savior Luther Church in Painesville MI.  They made their home in Iron Mountain and together enjoyed countless summers camping and fishing at Way Dam Resort.  She always had a special place in her heart for animals and spent her entire life caring for and loving her horses, cows, dogs or cats.  Her most recent fur-babies “Tori” and “Buddy” provided endless hours of enjoyment to both Sharon and Rick.  She was a loyal Detroit Lions fan, loved Nascar racing, was an avid reader and looked forward to planting her favorite flowers, geraniums,  every spring. 

Sharon loved her family deeply and adored her nieces and nephews, who in turned adored their “Auntie Sharon”. 

Preceding her in death:  Her father Roger Juopperi; paternal grand parents Hubert Juopperi and Helen Juopperi of Bruce Crossing and maternal grand parents Arthur Beck and Irene Beck of Ontonagon.

She is survived by:  Her Mother, Laurie Lou Juopperi, Hurley WI; sisters Cindy (Chris) Stanley, Harshaw, WI, Theresa (Bruce) Buccanero, Upson, WI, and Sandy (Rick) Pertile, Hurley WI, brothers-in law Larry Dasko, Iron Mountain MI, Michael (Jackie) Jung, Iron Mountain MI, and sister-in-law Kathy (Jared) Lawrence of South Carolina.  She will be remembered, loved and missed by many uncles, aunts nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and great nephews.

A Memorial Service will take place at Our Savior Lutheran Church on  Friday, July 21, 2017.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 am EST followed by the service at 12:00 pm EST. 

A private family burial service will be held at a later date in the Hillside Cemetery, Bruce Crossing MI.

The Dasko and Juopperi families would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all family, friends and staff at Froedert Hospital for their love and support.
