Obituary

Albert A. Haapala, 95 of Bruce Crossing, passed away December 15, 2014 at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain.

Albert was born on November 29, 1919 in Paynesville to Henry and Sofia (Morti) Haapala. Albert served in the US Army during WWII as a light truck driver, and also worked as a truck driver for the Bruce Crossing dairy. He was a very talented guitar player and enjoyed playing in local establishments.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Waino, Eino and Ted; and sisters Mary, Lempie and Elsie.

He is survived by his brother, George Haapala and sister, Eileen Huhta, both of Bruce Crossing. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Graveside Service for Albert will take place in Spring, 2015 at the Hillside Cemetery in Bruce Crossing and will be announced. The Cane Funeral Home a
