Albert Mukka, 92 of Bruce Crossing passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Baraga County Memorial Hospital in L'Anse, MI.

He was born May 01, 1921 in Bruce Crossing, MI to the late Isaac & Mary (Maki) Mukka. Albert was a veteran of the United States Army. He served in the Pacific from 1945 to 1947. On November 06, 1959 Albert was united in marriage to the former Florence Phillips. He was self employed, working as a farmer, logger and excavator.

Albert is survived by his wife Florence of Bruce Crossing & 2 nephews Ken (Kay) & Steve (Nancy) Virt both of Green Bay, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Reino Mukka & sisters Laura Mukka & Aune (George) Virt.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24 ^th at 11 a.m. EST at the Cane Funeral Home-Bruce Crossing Chapel in Bruce Crossing, MI. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the start of the service. Military rites will be preformed by the Ontonagon County Veterans Association. Spring burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Bruce Crossing.
