Arthur "Art" Streeter 82 passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Grandview Hospital in Ironwood, MI.

He was born July 1, 1925 in Wexford, MI to the late Arthur & Carrie (Cardinal) Streeter. Art was married to the former Elizabeth Davies on September 19, 1949. They made their home in Bergland, MI.

He had worked on the Great Lakes shipping and in 1954 began employment at the White Pine Copper Mine until his retirement in 1982. Art was a great lover of gardening.

He is survived by 2 sons Michael (Janice) Streeter of Bergland & Timothy (Penny) Streeter of Marquette, 5 grandchildren Cory Streeter of Bergland, Marie (Will) Voskuhl and Alice (Chris Wendt) Streeter both of Marquette, Sarah (Mike) Rosten of Gwinn and LeeAnna Streeter of Ishpeming, seven great-grandchildren Logan, Aaron, Emily, Sydney, Austin, Hannah and Ryan, one sister Edith (Donald) Latva of Bergland and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 29, 2008 11 a.m. at the Bergland United Methodist Church, Pastor Ted Trudgeon officiating. Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of the service. The Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family.
