Beatrice A. Fyfe 91 of Ontonagon passed away peacefully Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital following a short illness.

She was born June 5, 1916 in Virginia, MN to Stanley and Veline Fischer. Beatrice united in marriage to James Fyfe in Ontonagon, MI on February 1, 1938. James preceded her in death on October 9, 1970.

Locally Beatrice was employed at the Ontonagon Hospital's Long Term Care Unit as a housekeeper. She did volunteer work at St. Vincent De Paul and was a lifetime member of the VFW, Ontonagon County Historical Society and a member of the Kitchen Band,

Beatrice is survived by 2 sons James "Chugger" and Douglas (Mary) Fyfe, brother Stanley "Chum" (Helen) Fischer, 2 grandchildren Robert S. and James D. Fyfe of Washington state, 2 great-grandchildren Brandon J. & Jaeger J. and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Ontonagon. Friend my call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
