Betty Ann Latvis 79 of Mass City passed away peacefully on October 12, 2013 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital.

She was born in Mass City, MI on July 30, 1934 to the late Alma Kemppainen and Walfred Hermanson. Betty graduated from Mass High School in 1952 & married the love of her life Bill Latvis on July 23, 1955.

Betty is survived by her husband Bill, sons Jim (Kay), Dan (Val) and Dave (Susie), daughters Lisa (Ken) Truscott and Lynn (Lindon) Reber, grandchildren Jimmy, Sheri, Katie (Jordan), Michael (Kristen), Shaina (Jesse), Bobby, Steven, Jimmy, Ally, Danielle, Logan & Cameron, eleven great-grandchildren, sister Denise (Herb) Wilcox, brother Jim (Sara) Hermanson and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Billy, an infant daughter Mary Beth, sister Delores (Jack) Carberry, brothers Jerry, Jack, and Gary (Jennifer) Hermanson.

Betty enjoyed her grandchildren & great-grandchildren, cheering on her family race stock cars, watching the Detroit Tigers and going to the casino.

She was loved by many and will be truly missed.

A Memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockland Friday, October 18th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of the service. The Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon is assisting the family.
