Obituary

This world lost one classy lady on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital with her family by her side.

Betty J. Letson was born in Cooks, MI, May 18,1923 to John and Mae Neadow and was one of 12 children. Upon graduation she moved to Chicago to help the war effort. Eventually she made her way back to Manistique, MI where she met her husband George Lundberg (1924-1961). They made their home in Green Bay, WI and were blessed with four children. Ontonagon became their home in 1957. She later married Robert Letson (1918-1995) in 1962 and was once again blessed with two daughters.

The door to her home was always open and there was something good cooking on the stove. Her heart was as open as her door. She was a member of the VFW auxiliary, and a gold star mother. She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her son Fred (MaryAnn) Lundberg, her daughters, Linda (Howard) Bussiere, Nyra (Ken) Ison, Tammy (Rusty) Jousma, Bobbi (David) Ashley. Her sister, Mary Levine and her brothers, Blackie Neadow, Mike Neadow, Don Neadow and Dave Neadow. Her grandchildren: Casey, Cory, Dony, Billy, Wayne, Josh, Shannon, Tommy, Sean, Timmy, Jeff, Leah, and Cody. Her great grandchildren: Amanda, Justin, DeAndra, Grace, Carter, Emery, Conner, Adien ,Sara, Skylynn, Lankin and Adien, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, two sisters and four brothers. Betty also lost her son, William Lundberg and granddaughter Stacey Lundberg.

Her main priority was being a wife, mom and grandmother. She was a servant to all, everything to everyone. She will be greatly missed. . . especially by her "Lunch Bunch".

Services will be held Sunday, November I, 2009 at St. Paul Lutheran church in Ontonagon, MI. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral will be Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation for 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
