Betty J. Yanke 84 of Ontonagon passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital's Long Term Care Unit.

She was born July 17, 1923 in Ladysmith, WI to the late Ray and Myrtle Letson. On December 23, 1942 Betty was united in marriage to Carl Yanke. During her life, she enjoyed gardening and playing music on her organ.

Betty is survived by her sons Gary and Scott Yanke, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl and brothers Robert and Jack.

Funeral services will take place Friday April 18th at 11 am at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ontonagon with Pastor Howard Neider officiating. Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Spring burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ontonagon.
