Obituary

Bonita Rose Homrich (Bonnie Szaroletta) of Round Rock, TX passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at Seton Medical Center Williamson on March 2, 2014. She was born on July 14, 1960 in Ontonagon, MI to John F. and Mary C. Szaroletta.

Bonnie graduated from Ontonagon High School in 1978 and then served in the U.S. Army while being stationed in Hawaii and South Korea. Upon honorable discharge Bonnie moved to the Austin, TX area for her remaining years and earned a BS Degree in Computer Information Systems along with a Minor in Accounting from St. Edward's University, which allowed her to build a successful corporate business career with Texas Instruments and Ryder Transportation.

Over the years Bonnie served in many capacities helping the less fortunate in her community that included volunteering in the Salvation Army soup kitchen and the clothes closet at the Round Rock Serving Center. She also loved to walk in the woods, ride horses, read books along with becoming a very competitive golfer.

She is survived by her significant other of 20 years Michael Bromell, father John F. Szaroletta, and siblings Cheryl Fedrizzi, Mary (Greg) Ogan, John M. Szaroletta, and Sandra (David) Hutto, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins and the true love of her life which is a beautiful dog named Molly.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary C. Szaroletta, and her passing allows us to believe that they have been reunited, as well as leaving us with great memories that affected so many people in so many positive ways.

In order to honor Bonnie's wishes, she will be cremated in Austin, TX and a memorial service and burial will be held in Ontonagon in the spring. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery where loved ones will gather to remember the special life of a special woman.
