Obituary

Bonita J. "Bonnie" Watt 66 of Ontonagon passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital.

She was born August 16, 1941 in Detroit to the late Walter and Bessie (Bally) Nygard. Bonnie moved to Ontonagon with her family and graduated from Ontonagon High School at the age of 16. Later that year she attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Bonnie was the youngest student ever to be admitted to the University.

On September 2, 1961 she was united in marriage to Robert A. Watt.

Bonnie was employed by the First National Bank of Ontonagon and later at Mazurek's Clothing and as manager of the Village Clothier and Radio Shack of Ontonagon. She was presently employed by M-Bank.

Bonnie loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her husband. She enjoyed baking, knitting and especially reading.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Robert A. Watt, sons Bruce (Kelly), Brian (Rhonda), Bob (Kim) and Ralph Watt, 14 grandchildren and brother George (Joan) Nygard.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 19th at 1 p.m. at the Siloa Lutheran Church in Ontonagon. Friends may call at the church form 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Friends may view Bonnie's obituary and leave condolences at canefuneralhome.com.
