Carl William Lescelius, 54, of Mass City died Nov. 6, 2007 at Omega House in Houghton. He was born March 11, 1953 to Sylvia (Marttinen) and K. William Lescelius of Keweenaw Bay. Carl graduated from the White Pine High School in 1971, and then worked for the White Pine Copper Company. He had a life long interest in cars, and collected license plates.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, David John. He is survived by his sister Shirley at home, Uncle Ray and Aunt Margaret Martin and Aunt Sylvia Koski, all of Ontonagon, as well as many cousins.

The funeral service for Carl Lescelius will be held on Thursday, November 8th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Mass City with Pastor John West to officiate. Visitation will be at the church, for one hour before the service. Burial will be in the Keweenaw Bay Cemetery.

Carl's family would like to thank Keweenaw Home Nursing and Hospice, Omega House and Copper Country Mental Health for the loving care given to him. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Mass City, or Omega House. Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
