IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Ann
Conrad
May 18, 1959 – March 24, 2025
Carol Conrad, age 65, of Bruce Crossing, peacefully passed away at home on Monday, March 24, 2025, after a culmination of health issues.
Carol was born on May 18, 1959, in L'Anse, daughter of Arvo and Elma Maria (Mattson) Jackson. Carol graduated from L'Anse High School with the Class of 1977. In 1978, Carol married Terry "Bunny" Conrad of Bruce Crossing, and they shared 44 years of loving marriage. After high school, Carol worked various jobs, including secretarial work, working at the Forest Service in Kenton, and housekeeping at Tulppo's Motel in Bruce Crossing. She had an outstanding work ethic and always took pride in doing the best job possible.
Carol was an excellent homemaker, wife, and mom, keeping a tidy house and cooking and baking the best food, especially pasty, buns, and pies. She made her kids' childhoods great, with homemade birthday decorations and cakes, sledding and wagon rides, and special menus and TV shows when they were home sick from school.
Carol loved to garden, always creating beautiful flower beds and tending large vegetable gardens in her younger years. She loved animals, especially cats, and she was an avid birdwatcher, feeding them out her pantry window for years. She also loved to watch the deer in the yard, telling Bunny he could not hunt them! Most of all, Carol loved God, and her strong faith helped and uplifted her throughout her life.
Carol leaves behind her devoted children and grandchildren: son, Carl (Amber) Conrad; daughter, Beth (Mike) Jenson; and grandsons Luke and Adam Jenson. Carol is also survived by her brother, Dean Jackson; sister, Joan (Herb) Larson; brother, Daron Jackson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Terry; her parents, Arvo and Maria Jackson; brother, Darrell Jackson; sisters-in-law, Geri Sikkila and Anna DeZorzi; and granddaughter, Aurora Jenson.
Carol's wishes were to not have a public service. A private graveside inurnment will take place in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Ewen.
