Carol DeHut 70 of Greenland passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 6, 2007 at Marquette General Hospital.

She was born on December 20, 1936 in Manitowish Waters, WI. She graduated from Ewen High School in 1955. On August 25, 1956 Carol married Eugene DeHut of Greenland. Just last year they celebrated their 50th anniversery with a trip to Las Vegas.

Carol enjoyed baking, casinos, bingo, Las Vegas, traveling, knitting, playing cards with the girls and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Eugene, children Cheryl (Richard) Saari of Greenland, Jim (Judy) DeHut of Bessemer and Kim (Larry) Ross of Ontonagon, her grandchildren Kristy (Troy) LaFernier of L'Anse, Jennifer (Matt) Derke of Madison, WI, Kelly (Dan) Wilcox of Pensacola, FL, Chris and Kory Ross of Ontonagon, Melissa DeHut of Ontonagon and Taylor Saari of Greenland, her great-grandchildren Kori, Abby, Gracie, Les and Rylee.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 9th 2 p.m. at Cane Funeral Home with Pastor Rosemary DeHut officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
