IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Ann
Seid
October 30, 1931 – October 7, 2024
I am writing my own obituary because I want the last word! Carol Ann Foeller Seid, age 92, was born on October 30, 1931, to Sylvia (Peltonen) Foeller and Albert (Ted) John Foeller. I passed away peacefully at Ironwood General Hospital on Monday, October 7, 2024. I was born in Ashland, Wisconsin and came to Ontonagon, Michigan when I was 5 years old. My father followed the sawmill here like many other men from Mellen, Wisconsin. I graduated from Ontonagon High School in 1949 and headed to Milwaukee, WI to make my fortune. I worked for Frederick Post then moved to Tucson, AZ and worked for Infilco. I met and married the love of my life Bernard Seid of Rockland. He retired from the Ontonagon County Telephone Company, and I retired from the Ontonagon High School.
I was preceded in death by my husband, Bernard and my son Bernard Jr., my mother and father, my sister Donna Foeller Cleary Ross, brothers-in-law Gerald Cleary and Pat Ross, my in-laws Gert and Andrew Seid, Bob and Virginia Seid, Donald and Marjorie Seid, Theodore and Juanita Seid and Larry and Lucy Seid. I am survived by my sons, Bruce (Deb), Jeff (Fran) and Howard (Jackie), my grandchildren Andrew (Maggie), Jennifer (Adam), Karlie Rae, great-granddaughters Penelope and Palmer and many nieces and nephews.
I enjoyed knitting, crafting and painting. I was a jack of all trades and a master of none! Life has been good to me, and I would do it all over again if I could. Cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside service at Riverside Cemetery on Saturday, October 19 at 1 pm followed by a lunch at the Ontonagon VFW. Please remember me with love and I will do the same. God bless you all. Love, Carol Seid
