Carolyn L. Schon 71 of Ontonagon passed away Monday, March 12, 2007 at Maple Manor Nursing Center.

She was born July 20, 1935 in Ontonagon. Daughter of Dorothy Rogers Gorman and the late John Rogers.

Carolyn was a graduate of OAHS class of 1953. She married Robert Schon on October 23, 1954. Carolyn was a co-owner of the Inn Towne Pharmacy, where she enjoyed working with her friends and neighbors. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and the St. Gerard's Women's Circle of the Holy Family Catholic Church.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 52 years Robert, her sons John (Myrna) of Kingsford and Ken (Laurie) of Ishpeming, her daughter Susan (Tom) Pestka of Ontonagon, 10 grandchildren Heather, Brandon, Heidi, Jennifer, Steven, Katie, Samantha, Zachery, Melissa and Mike, great-grandson James, mother Dorothy Rogers Gorman of Brooksville, FL, brother Robert (Ceely) Rogers of Springhill, FL, sister Nancy (Stanley) Domitrovich of Ontonagon and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday March 15th from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Cane Funeral Home. A VFW Auxiliary service will be held at 6:30 and a rosary will be said at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday March 16th at 11 am at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Antony Lukose officiating. Friends may also call at the church Friday from 10 am until the time of the service. Spring burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.
