Charles N. Watt 70 of Ontonagon was called home on April 4, 2009. Charlie was born March 3, 1939, the son of Ralph and Evelyn (Nehmer) Watt. He graduated from Ontonagon High School with the class of 1957. Charlie spent two years in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis stationed in the Ural Mountains on the Russian Border.
After his discharge, he worked 43 years at the Ontonagon paper mill, retiring in June of 2000. Charlie and his wife Chris were married May 21, 1988.
He loved fishing, hunting and gardening and enjoyed his hunting camp and his beloved cocker spaniel Cee Cee.
Charie is survived by his wife Chris, brother Robert, special nephew Bruce (Kelly) Watt, nephews Brian (Rhonda), Bob (Kim), and Ralph Watt and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 8th at 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ontonagon with Reverend Cherrie Sporleder officiating. Friends may call at the on Wednesday church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. The Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family.
