Clair W. Streeter, 95, of Bruce Crossing, Michigan passed away November 25, 2010 in Ontonagon after a short illness. He was born on December 8, 1914 in Ewen to the late Jacob and Mary (Cardinal) Streeter.
Clair was employed at White Pine Copper Mine, and was a farmer and logger. He was also an avid sportsman. On October 21, 1939 he married Marcella "Sal" Vivant. Clair is survived by Marcella, his wife of 71 years; 2 daughters, Mrs. Viola (George) Wolfe of Ewen and Mary Jane Snyder of Oregon; 2 sons, Clair "Bud" (Sandy) of Bruce Crossing and Jacob (Cindy) of Oregon; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Clair was preceded in death by 5 sisters: Inez Hogland, Leona Villis, Alma Smith, Erma Giddings, and Edith Simonson; 4 brothers: Frank, Art, Bernard, and Virgil; and granddaughter, Sherry.
A memorial service will be held at the Scared Heart Catholic Church at a later date.
