Claudia McIntyre, 61, of Greenland passed away peacefully at her home on February 23, with family by her side.

Claudia was born March 26, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Claude and June (Miilu) Sandy. She graduated from the Mass High School and went on to nursing school, becoming a LPN. On February 8, 1969, she married Pat McIntyre at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Greenland. Claudia later worked with Pat in their business, Pat's Auto & Sports Center.

Claudia enjoyed gambling, bingo,and dark chocolate. She also loved Elvis, Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers. She was a member of the Mass City Downtown Development Authority and secretary for the Superior Snowmobile Club. Claudia was a trusted friend and was always willing to lend a hand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and June Sandy; brother, Brian; and a nephew, Jay Johnson.

Claudia is survived by her husband, Pat; children, Tracy Hagenow, Holly (Steve) Williams, Kip (Trisha) McIntyre and Chad McIntyre; and beloved grandchildren Dwayne, Erica and Faith Hagenow; Amanda and Ashley Williams and Wyatt and Lilly McIntyre. She is also survived by brothers, Raymond, Joseph and Richard Sandy; and sisters, Caryl Johnson and Kathy Clark.

Funeral Services for Claudia will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon. Friends may call two hours prior to service. Spring burial will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Greenland.
