Connie Marie (Gregorich) Mathis, 43, of Bessemer passed away on May 20, 2013 at Marquette General Hospital.

Connie was born in Ontonagon, MI to Fredrick and Marilyn Gregorich on June 10, 1969. She graduated from Ontonagon Area High School. Connie was married to Brett Mathis of Bessemer for 22 years. She worked at the Gogebic County Medical Care Facility in Wakefield.

Connie is survived by her husband, Brett Mathis; parents Fredrick and Marilyn Gregorich of Greenland; brothers Gary Gregorich and Randy Gregorich, both of Greenland, and Ricky Gregorich of Rhinelander, WI; grandmother Eva Gregorich of Ontonagon; Father- and mother-in-law Wayne and Betty Mathis of Ironwood; brother-in-law Wayne Mathis, Jr. of Manitowoc, WI and sister-in-law Rhonda (Mark) Colberg of Crystal Falls; uncles and aunts Bernard & Chris Gregorich of Ontonagon; Joseph and Debbie Laukka of Ontonagon; David & Cheryl Somero of Greenland; and John Somero of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived numerous cousins; by her good friends Janice Kay Silanpa and Jennifer DeMichele and her loyal pet, Skippy.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Edwin and Helen Somero; her paternal grandfather Stanley Gregorich; her uncle and aunt Raymond and Bernadine Hakola and uncle Kenneth Somero.
