Cortlen I. Calhoun 93 a long time resident of White Pine, MI passed on July 16, 2009. She was born April 26, 1916 to William & Mable McLean of Mountain, WI.

She married David B. Calhoun October 24, 1933. In 1953 they moved to White Pine, MI from Laona, WI where her husband worked as a mill forman at White Pine Copper Mine. David preceded her in death in 1994.

Cortlen was a long time member of the White Pine United Methodist Church and was known for her pasty making. She loved her church group and they loved her.

Cortlen is survived by her three children Colleen (Stan) Wierzbicki of White Pine, Bill (Victoria) Calhoun of Silver City and Clyde (Sharon) Calhoun of Stillwater, MN. She has 10 grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild Miles Marlowe, sisters Ethel Wines, Hazel Lehman, Theo Hanson and Betty Lucas and brothers Jack and Norval McLean.
