Craig "Gus' Landree 54 of Ontonagon passed away Friday, January 11, 2008 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Gus was born September 29, 1953 in Ontonagon to Hector & Elayne (Johnson) Landree.

For many years, he was an active member of the Ontonagon Village Volunteer Fire Department. Gus had worked at the Ontonagon County Road Commission. After leaving the road commission, he worked at several other jobs in the construction industry.

Gus loved to collect die cast scale model construction equipment and trucks. He was also an avid collector of baseball caps.

Gus is survived by daughters Lisa (Cameron) Bledsoe of Ubba City, CA and Jessica (Brandon) Dompier of L'Anse, MI, grandchildren Bud, Chance, Logan and Morgan Bledsoe and Kylie, Addison and Brooklyn Dompier, brother Tom (Sharon) Landree, sister Jodi (Terry) Store, uncle Ron (Lucy) Johnson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, January 16th 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Ontonagon. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Condolences may be left at canefuneralhome.com.
