Dana Willman Deerwester, 56, died unexpectedly in his sleep on Jan.30, 2011 in White Pine, MI.
Dana was born April 2, 1954 in Portage, Wisconsin to Stephen and Evelyn (Colstad) Deerwester. Dana was an Army Veteran, trained in heavy duty equipment. He liked working in carpentry with his dad, and was a Green Bay Packer fan.
Dana is survived by 2 sons, Dane of Florida, and Danny of Wisconsin; 2 daughters, Dusty of North Carolina and Evelyn of Michigan; 3 grandsons, Jessie, Hunter and Deven, and 1 granddaughter, Ciera. He is also survived by his mother, Evelyn, and sister Rhea Golden, both of White Pine, MI; 2 brothers, Dennis of Lexington, KY, and Darin of Frankfort, KY; his Aunt Ann of Baraboo, WI and Uncle Larry (June) of Poynette, WI; And numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Preceding Dana in death is his father, Stephen (died May 2007), brother, Dann (died May 2008), sister, Renay (died December, 1990) and nephew, Eric (died February, 1995). He was also preceded in death by his grandparents.
His wish was to be cremated, and there will be no memorial at this time. In the spring, Dana's remains will be laid to rest next to his father and brother Dann at the Carp Lake Township Cemetery in Green, MI.
