Daniel (Dan) Westlund, 62 years old, passed away on February 7, 2022 at his home in White Pine, Michigan.

Dan was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Rodger and Harriet Westlund on June 12, 1959. He married Deborah (Deb) Fuerst on September 8, 1979. Dan and Deb had one daughter, Emmaline. Dan and Deb were married until November 26, 2011, when Deb passed away. Dan married Kathryn Heisser on September 21,2014, after which they moved to White Pine, MI. He grew up and lived most of his adult life in Fridley, MN. He graduated from Fridley Senior High School. Dan spent many years in the food industry at Augie's Catering and at Cub Foods. After his years in the food industry, he went to work at Caterpillar Paving Products, where he worked for 15 years.

Dan's wife Kathryn is currently living at the Mission Point Nursing & Physical Rehabilitation Center of Hancock, 1400 Poplar St., Hancock, MI 49930.

Dan is survived by his wife Kathryn, daughter Emmaline, stepson Griffin Heisser, brothers; Al (Maryhelen), Gary (Mary) and Todd, and several nieces and nephews.

Dan is preceded in death by his wife Deborah, parents Rodger and Harriet Westlund, Deborah's parents Charles and Kathleen Fuerst, and Kathryn's parents Gordon and Delores Stanley and her sister Jacklon Schmidt.

A celebration of Dan's life will be held on February 20, 2022 at 1:00PM at the Coon Lake Community and Senior Center, 182 Forest Road, East Bethel, MN.
