David William Alapert (Dobs)  age 65, of Ontonagon, MI  passed away Sunday March 25, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.  He was born October 28, 1952 in Ishpeming, MI to Leslie Norman and Marie Helen (Kaarto) Alapert.

David attended Ontonagon High School and went on to enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 31, 1972 until his Honorable Discharge in 1975.  He enjoyed the outdoors,  especially fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.  He enjoyed life in general.  In his working years he enjoyed carpentry especially working with dry wall.

He is survived by his sister Judy Idol of Mass City, MI, two brothers Terry Alapert of Webberville, MI and Bobby (Debbie) Alapert of Westland, MI. He is also survived my many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brothers, Gary John (Nonny) and Norman (Butch) Alapert.

Services for David will be held in the spring with Military Honors.

The Cane Funeral Home of Ontonagon is assisting the family with arrangements.
