Obituary

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David R Kosky, beloved husband, father, and friend, who left us too soon at the age of forty-four on January 10th, 2025.

Dave was born on August 8th, 1980, at St Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, WI. He leaves behind his loving wife Deanna, and their two daughters Alaina and Samantha who were the light of his life. His family was his greatest joy, and he worked tirelessly to provide and care for them.

He was a man who lived life to the fullest. After fixing up and selling their first cabin in Kenton MI. Dave and Deanna found another U.P. cabin that Dave decided he should remodel everything possible, he was not one to sit idle. Dave and family along with his faithful black lab sidekick Henry spent many hours enjoying the great outdoors of Michigan. They loved their time at the cabin in the woods.

As a passionate outdoorsman Dave loved hunting and fishing. Whether spending hours on the lake or tracking game in the woods these activities brought him peace, joy, and a sense of connection to nature. He was an avid outdoorsman who often shared his love of the wilderness with family and friends teaching them the patience and skill he had honed over the years. Dave was a great cook, he especially liked cooking the fully organic meat/fish that he gathered. You did not want to miss out on his fish fry.

Dave was also known for his infectious laughter, his big heart, and his ability to make everyone around him feel special. He was a loyal friend, always willing to lend a hand or share a kind word, and his warm presence will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his love for the outdoors, Dave was a dedicated Project Superintendent for Bayland Buildings Inc. Dave loved his "work family" and had great respect for the owners and the crews that he worked with daily. Dave made a lasting impact and built many meaningful relationships within the company and the many clients that always asked for him to come back and run their future projects.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure. His memory will live on in the hearts of his wife, daughters, family, and friends who will continue to celebrate his life in the moments they shared together.

Dave is preceded in death by his father Jack Kosky, father-in-law Herold Treichel, Stepfather Marvin Nordling, brothers-in-law Jesse and Perry Treichel

Dave is survived by his life soulmate Deanna, two daughters Alaina and Samantha (special friend Tony), his dog Henry, and the 3 family cats, his mother Jenny Kosky, brothers Chuck Kosky and Rob (Lynn) Kosky, Barb (Tony) Bartkowiak, Jessica, MacKenzie, Danielle, and James. Dave is also survived by his mother-in-law Pat Treichel, brother-in-law Todd (Amy) Treichel, and many, many very good friends.
