David Wonsey, 63 of Trout Creek, passed away November 16, 2013.

He was born in Mount Clemens, MI to Howard G. and Martha Bell (Long) Wonsey. On May 26, 1990 he married Katherine Cronkright. Along with his parents, David operated How-Mar Valley Farms AFC Home, and took ownership of the business from 1987-2000. He also worked as a slot technician at Lac Vieux Desert Resort Casino for over twenty years.

David was a loving, caring man who always put others ahead of himself. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, caring for animals, and hobby farming.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine; children JJ Hasenberg and Gina Nygord; grandchildren JT, Tyler, Jasmyn, Ashtyn and Weston; siblings Dawn Ostrander of Imlay City MI, Stewart (Nancy) of Armada MI, Joseph (Dorothy) of Paynesville, Carlene (Louis) Morningstar of Bruce Crossing, Donna (Joseph) Powers of Memphis MI, Julie (Ed) Gagnon of Rockland and John (Gail) of Bergland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

David was preceded in death by parents and sister Gaila May Wonsey.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 21 from 4-7 Eastern at the Lac Vieux Desert Resort Casino Bingo Hall. Funeral services will be Friday, November 22 at Noon Eastern at the Cane Funeral Home a
