Dean Christopher Hawkins 49 of Ontonagon passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 16, 2016.

He was born May 7, 1967 in Ontonagon to Donald Eugene Hawkins & Sharon Lorraine (Ernest) Heerdegen.

Dean worked at the White Pine Electric Power Company. He loved hunting and fishing and carry on traditions at the Hawks Nest. You could also spot him playing rounds of golf at the local course in his proudly owned Detroit Lions cart.

Dean is survived by his children Ashley (Joe) Nevins & Adam (Kori) Hawkins, grandson Brayden, girlfriend Sheri Hirvela and her children Sara, Stephanie, Bradley & Katelyn, step-father Bill Heerdegen, siblings Chuck Hawkins, Keith (Teresa) Hawkins & Sandy (Curt) Kasten, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family & friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald & mother Sharon..
