Obituary

Deborah Jean (DeGraw) Wiesen, 63, of Rockland went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 9, 2012.

She was born March 28, 1949 in Greenville, MI to Othel and Marion Jean DeGraw. Debbie graduated from Greenville Senior High School in 1967. On February 10, 1968 she married her husband of 44 years, Dave Wiesen. Debbie was a stay-at-home mom and raised their two children, Matthew and Jeff. She also worked with Dave operating the Wiesen Christmas Tree Farm.

In 2005, Debbie and Dave moved to Rockland, where she loved to fish, ride four-wheelers, travel, spend time at camp, pick berries and spend time with her family. She was a member of Redeemer Free Lutheran Church where she loved to serve and especially enjoyed her Thursday morning Bible Study with her lady friends. Debbie sang both in church and with the Ontonagon Christian Choir.

Debbie is survived by her devoted husband, Dave Wiesen; her sons, Matt (Kandice) Wiesen of Ontonagon and Jeff (Michon) Wiesen of Belding, MI; grandchildren, Janelle, Ryan (Justina), Josh, Jarrod and Matthew Wiesen and great-grandchild Jessa Wiesen. She is also survived by a brother-in-law Ken Nietzel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Linda Orser and Delores Nietzel; and daughter-in-law Margaret Wiesen.

Debbie spent her entire life serving and loving her family and friends and was a Godly example to all who knew her.

A Memorial Service for Debbie will be held Tuesday, November 13th at 3 p.m. at Redeemer Free Lutheran Church in Ontonagon, with visitation beginning at Noon at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redeemer Free Lutheran Church or Ontonagon County Cancer Association.
