Dennis Jay Gougeon of Ontonagon, MI passed away in a tragic work-related accident on July 17, 2012.

Dennis was born in White Pine, MI to Byron and Mary Gougeon on April 19, 1965. He went to school in White Pine. He married Dianne Bolo in Ontonagon, MI in 1988. Dennis and Dianne then went their separate ways but were blessed with three children (Mitch, Zack, and Ariel). For the last seven years, his time was spent with his soulmate, Mary Cox. He worked as a lead man for Inland Water Systems on and off for 25 years.

Dennis is survived by significant other, Mary Cox (Ontonagon), children, Mitch Bolo, Zack Gougeon, Ariel Gougeon (Baraga), Cody Letson, (Ontonagon), siblings, Robert Gougeon (Washington), Patrick (Karlene) Gougeon (Tucson, AZ), Laura (Mike) Kearney (Estes Park, CO), Amy (Scott) Tikkanen (Estes Park, CO), aunt Yvonne Roehm (Ontonagon). Extended family Bailey, Kelcie Cox (Ontonagon), granddaughter, Willow.

Dennis is preceded in death by his grand parents, Shorty (Bernice) Gougeon, parents Byron and Mary Gougeon, sister, Sandra Gougeon, and nephew Mikey Kearney.

A celebration of his life was held on Saturday, July 21, 2012.
