Dennis David Nevins, 56 of Ontonagon passed away October 10, 2015 at his home.

Dennis was born on April 7, 1959 in Hancock to Lawrence Peter and Alma Miriam (Tikkanen) Nevins. On November 26, 1982, he married Marilyn Trybus. They have resided in Ontonagon where they have raised their two sons, Joe and Paul.

After working various jobs in Ontonagon County, Dennis last worked with PSI Security at the White Pine Copper Refinery. Dennis loved the outdoors and spent most of his free time hunting and fishing. He was so proud of his world-record brook trout he caught in 1996. Every year, he looked forward to rooting for his favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings.

Dennis is survived by his wife Marilyn; children Joe (Ashley) and Paul; mother Alma; siblings Sharon Tousignant, Rita (Mike) Sirvio, Mark (Jeri) Nevins, Dorothy Maki, and Larry (Donna) Nevins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father Lawrence.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 11 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ontonagon. Visitation will begin at 10 am and continue until the time of Mass. Burial will follower in the Riverside Cemetery in Ontonagon.
