Donald E. Guzek, 79 of Ontonagon passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Ontonagon on September 6, 1935 to Leo and Helen (Naneville) Guzek. Donald graduated from Ontonagon Area Schools, and served in the US Air force from 1954-1958. He worked at the paper mill, was a member of Eagles Aerie #2239 and VFW Post 5600.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Norma (Wakeham) Guzek; and brother Richard "Dick" Guzek.

He is survived by wife Karen (Fulluet) Guzek; children Mark Guzek, Keith Guzek and Donny (Rachel Hamm) Negro; and siblings Leo "Mike" Guzek, Sarah "Sally" Stuermer and Gerald "Jerry" Guzek. He is also survived by numerous step-children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service for Donald will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 3-6 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Ontonagon.
