Donald R Olson, 88, of White Pine passed away on January 12 2024 at home in White Pine, MI.

Donald Olson was born in Ironwood, MI to Einer and Evelyn Olson on February 28, 1935. He attended public school in Ironwood, MI. Donald married Frances Arlene Oman on June 12, 1954.. He graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor in Education and Masters in Administration . He taught Industrial Education, Drivers Training and was a Bus Driver at the Trout Creek High School. Later Donald became a Elementary /Junior High Principal for Ewen-Trout Creek Consolidated Schools until his retirement in 1994. He was active in the Trinity Lutheran Church and Trout Creek Volunteer Fire Dept. He loved fishing, hunting, bowling and fellowship with many friends in Trout Creek and was a lifelong Green Bay Packer Fan.

Donald is survived by his son Dennis and his wife Susan. They have 4 children, Casey Kurchak (Steve), Callie Ditchen (Brett), Rachel Sherman (Rob) and Andrew Olson (Trisha). Also surviving are 9 grand children, Makenna and Makalya Olson, Landen and Laurel Johnson, Max Ditchen, Henry, James and Samuel Sherman and Frances Olson.

Donald was preceded in death by his Father (Einer), Mother (Evelyn) and wife (Arlene) Olson.

Funeral service for Donald Olson with be held on June 22, 2024 at 1:00pm at Cane Funeral Home in Bruce Crossing.. Donald will be buried with Arlene in a private family ceremony at the Ironwood Township Cemetery.
