Donald Edwin Pokela, 94 of Ewen, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Aspirus Ontonagon Long Term Care Unit.

He was born September 7, 1920 in Wakefield to John and Fannie Marie (Niemi) Pokela. Donald lived most of his life in Ewen, where he worked as a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Elsie Lannet, Signe Walls and Gertrude Ojaniemi and brother Walter. Donald is survived by a brother, Raymond Pokela of Ewen; a sister Elaine Davis of Eckerman, MI; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
